For more than two decades I’ve been using photography to explore people, places and the experiences that connect them. My work spans live music, street photography, documentary projects and artistic practice, creating images for musicians, artists, cultural organisations and editorial publications. Alongside commissioned work, my photographs have been exhibited nationally, published in books and magazines, and developed into long-term personal projects that continue to shape my creative practice.

While my subjects vary, my purpose remains the same: to create photographs that do more than document a moment. I’m interested in making images that evoke atmosphere, emotion and memory, photographs that communicate how a place, a person or an experience felt, rather than simply recording how it looked.

I don’t see photography simply as recording what something looked like. I’m interested in how it felt. Whether I’m photographing a musician immersed in performance, a fleeting moment on the street, or creating expressive work through my Photographic Impressionism practice, I’m searching for images that reveal character, movement and atmosphere rather than simply describing appearances.

My commercial work is built around two specialist services.

LOUD+CLEAR provides photography for musicians, festivals, venues and the wider music industry, producing promotional imagery, live performance photography and visual content that captures both the energy of performance and the personality of the artist.

REDDOT works with artists, galleries, museums and cultural organisations to document exhibitions, creative practice and the people behind them with sensitivity, authenticity and respect for the creative process.

Alongside commissioned work, my artistic practice continues to evolve through long-term personal projects. My Hands, Head & Heart series explores the relationship between artists, their working environments and the creative process, while Hands, Head & Heart II extends that exploration through a renewed body of work. My Photographic Impressionism investigates how movement, light, texture, shape, form and time can transform familiar landscapes and urban environments into expressive, atmospheric images that exist between representation and abstraction.

Throughout my career I’ve had the privilege of photographing internationally recognised musicians, documenting festivals and cultural events, exhibiting my work in galleries, contributing photography and written articles to publications, and collaborating with artists and creative organisations across the UK. Each experience has reinforced my belief that great photography begins with curiosity, careful observation and a genuine connection with the subject.

Whether I’m working backstage before a concert, documenting an artist in their studio, walking the streets with a camera, or developing a personal body of work, I approach every project with the same principles: observation, patience, professionalism and respect for the people and places I photograph.
