I just wanted to say a big "thank you" to the person who bought 2 of my images at a recent exhibition.
It is an incredible feeling when someone not only likes the work you've created but is also willing to spend their hard-earned on purchasing it, something that I'll never take for granted. And I don't mean simply the monetary gain, I mean the emotional boost you get when someone sees something in your work that they connect with.
The 2 images were part of a series I did where, through digital editing, I created work that blurs the line between the pictorial representation of a photograph and the expressionism of painting. I hoped to challenge viewers perception of what a photograph is and question if what they are looking at is actually a photograph or a painting.
The shots were taken on the Stiperstones in Shropshire and were shown as part of the Belle Vue Art Festivals annual exhibition.
