I was in my 20’s when I first realised photographing musicians and live music was a thing people actually got paid to do, and while many of my contemporaries were learning their first three chords and dreaming of playing Glastonbury, Wembley or Shea Stadium, my dream was to have an Access All Areas (AAA) pass in one hand and a camera in the other at these illustrious venues.
Fast forward 30 years and whilst I’ve not (yet) made it big I’ve captured more than my fair share of gigs in that time.
So I'm delighted to say that this September I'll be holding my first exhibition of my live music photography images.
“Backstage Pass” is a collection of my favourite live music images, which will be on display for the whole of September at The Shrewsbury Coffeehouse.
Hope you get a chance to drop in for a coffee and and take in this exhibition. Needless to say I'm very excited about it as it combines my love of photography and live music.
