Some photoshoots and projects I plan for weeks or even months. Mulling over a concept or researching a location. But this series of images was totally spontaneous with no prior thought given to it at all.
I was at Tate Britain with time to kill before seeing the Don McCullin exhibition. Rather than taking in the permanent collection there, I found I was more interested in the people viewing the paintings on show. This naturally made me want to photograph them.
It was quite good fun and as you can see the majority of shots are of the backs of peoples heads. Although, at one point I found myself stalking people around the gallery simply because I like the look of the back of their head.
I'm surprised I wasn't thrown out!
