Caractacus' Last Stand

I took this picture earlier today of two Shropshire hills - The Lawley (L) and Caer Caradoc (R). I'm used to seeing these two from the A49 or from up on the Long Mynd. So this view, taken between Halfway House and Cressage, makes a nice change.

According to local legend, Caer Caradoc (the Welsh for Caractacus' Fort) is the site of Caractacus' last stand against the Romans in 50 AD. Not sure if I believe it though, as the Roman reports state the Britons positioned themselves between a river and a hill which they fortified - there's no river near Caradoc.
