Last night I spotted an over ripe peach in my fruit bow that needed eating. Before I did though, I was taken by its shape and texture and decided to photograph it. I was soon reminded of the work of the photographer Edward Weston and in particular his series "Still Lifes". That set me off on creating an makeshift studio at home and gathering all manner of food to photograph. I even managed a nod to the Velvet Underground and Andy Warhol.

By the way, the peach was delicious.
